The Estelle R. Ford
Future Nurses Scholarship Fund
Dear Invited Musician,
We invite you to perform in our upcoming 2nd Annual Folk Music and Artisans Show at the Templeton Fish and Game Club in beautiful E. Templeton, MA. We had so much fun at our first festival that we decided to do it all over again! But bigger and better!!! The music festival will feature folk, bluegrass, Americana, singer/songwriter, country and blues music. This festival is our big annual event to help raise money for the Estelle R. Ford Future Nurses Scholarship. Estelle Ford was a school nurse for over 20 years in the Central Massachusetts area and started the Future Nurses Club at Gardner High School. Approximately 60% of her club students have gone on to work in the medical field, many in the local area. We want to keep this legacy alive and provide scholarships to students completing nursing school that want to serve the local community.
The Music Festival will run on Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Templeton Fish and Game Club. This is a wonderful venue with plenty of parking, open areas with great views for the musical entertainment and spacious areas for our fine artisans who are participating – we are hoping to have over 60 artists at the festival.
We ask you to thoughtfully consider our invitation to this event. We are inviting a select number of musicians who are providing 45 to 90-minute sets of music as a donation to this cause. You will also be able to sell your CDs and merchandise as we will have tables set up for your use throughout the day. If you have CDs we ask that you donate a copy of one title to be used as a raffle item at the event. We will raffle off a complete set of CDs (1 from each performing musician) to help raise money for the scholarship fund.
We appreciate your help and participation in making this event a bigger and better success that our last great festival so we can continue to build this annual event to raise monies for the scholarship fund.
Please fill out the form on the back of this page and return the application as soon as possible. Musicians will be considered on a first come, first served basis – we anticipate having 8 or 9 slots available. If you accept our invitation, please include a link to photos so we can promote your set in our posters and advertising materials. Also, we ask that you consider your time (set) as a donation to the Estelle R. Ford Future Nurses Scholarship (we are a 501(c)3 non-profit so your donation will be fully tax deductible).
